If you're not familiar with the Nordies Anniversary Aale (...but maybe have been hearing about it everywhere) you can get caught up HERE. If you're lazy and didn't want to click that link, then here's the main thing you need to know: Fall styles are on sale, public access (aka for everyone who doesn't have a Nordstrom Card) starts today which means it's time to stock up before the prices go back up on Aug. 6th.
For everyone else who's already in the loop about why this is the best sale of the year, let me show you what I bought, then we'll get to the giveaway so that you can win a Nordstom gift card and go snag some of these pieces for yourselves. Deal?
So the pieces in this post aren't the only things I bought, I also ordered a bunch of things online (which I will link to below) that haven't arrived.
The jumpsuit obsession continues, and these polka dots might be the most fun style yet. I love the strappy neckline and the retro polka dot pattern. The capri length is also perfect for showing off your favorite pair of booties plus it makes this piece perfect for transitioning from summer to fall.
This bootie has some of my favorite trends - velvet and block heels. I love the floral burnouts and the deep maroon color. These booties pair perfectly with denim and can also be used to accent a classic flannel and vest look. I'm loving these with raw-edged cropped flair jeans for fall.
Every girl needs a staple pair of OTK boots in her closet. These boots walk the line between casual and dressy with a little pinch of western style. The suede is super comfortable and they come in 4 colors. I bought black because I plan to wear them out and dress them up most of the time but I've got my eye on the greystone ones as well.
I think the most important thing to say about this is 'perfect transition sweater.' It's so comfy, casual but not baggy, the neckline is the cutest and its perfect for layering. It's even got a kangaroo pocket for when I don't know what to do with my hands. Also, it comes in 4 colors and is just $45! I seriously love almost anything from Vince Camuto, so you'll definitely be seeing a lot of that in this lineup.
One critique I have about fall styles is they usually aren't as bright and cheerful as summer pieces, but this is one pattern that doesn't follow that rule. This fall floral has fun pops of bright coral red, which is super in for fall 2017. I'm in love with the flirty ruffle at the bottom. This pattern is selling out fast, but it also comes in an elegant black and pink floral print as well.
I LOVE these booties. First of all, the split shaft shows off a little ankle, which is not only more comfortable but also softens the harsh line around the ankle other bootie styles have. this creates a much more feminine look and adds a little bit of length to the legs. I'm also a huge fan of the cut outs. The added texture is such a nice touch. I got them in grey but they also come in black and taupe.
Obsessed is the correct word here. Move over leather pants, we don't need you anymore. These leggings from Spanx are seriously magical. They are the stretchiest, most comfortable material, glazed with some sort of shiny coat that makes them look like leather. But they are 100% not . They are so unlike those faux leather pants - that are basically made of plastic - which are just SO DANG HOT and also stretch and don't stretch in all the wrong places.
If you've always wanted to rock leather but thought you couldn't, this is the answer. Oh also, they're Spanx, so they suck all of your sh*t in, whatever your problem areas may be. Usually $98, going for $65 during the sale. I bought a black pair AND antique rose (aka grey) because they are just that good.
Asymmetry is such a beautiful distraction. In this case what it's distracting you from is the fact that this is absolutely just a sweatshirt with a little ruffle that makes it look way more put together. It's like your basic sweatshirt just put in a little more effort but got no less comfortable. This top is a no-brainer for pairing with those Faux Leather leggings I just talked about (um..did I tell you those are my favorite?) because the mix of textures between the (not actually) leather and tulle elevate the look to a very polished, fashion forward feel.
My little sister actually bought these, but we all know that anything that's in our sister's closet we can basically count as ours too. Even if that does mean borrowing without asking sometimes. If I hadn't already bought 4 pairs of shoes (yes...in the same day) these would have come home with me too. They've got the split shaft top and are slide on so they are super comfortable. They also come in two colors.
Early access starts JULY 13th...If you're a Nordstrom Card holder. I brush off every request to sign up for a store-specific piece of plastic, but not this one. Here's why: first you can get either a credit or debit card, so you don't have to worry about going rogue and spending money you don't have.
